THIRD LETTER TO WHITE EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGISTS: WE ARE PART OF SYSTEMS THAT DISCRIMINATE.
Dear White and Black Educational Psychologists, We all like to think of ourselves as good people. Most of us educational psychologists would rather remain silent when we see racism then cause waves. You see, we like to be liked and it’s more important (some would say it’s in our EP DNA) that we maintain our good relationships with our schools than speak up. And by racism I am talking about racism as a spectrum from subtle, low-key racism to high-key racism. See the Prejudice
